Brett Benson Mrs. Gallos English III Honors 18 April 2016 The Growing Problem of Illegal Immigration Every year, millions of immigrants pour into the United States illegally. Are there any possible solutions to this trend? Immigrants cross the border either by the means of, swimming, using fake documents or by the means of using work visas. â€Å"Nearly half of the 12 million-plus illegal aliens in America arrived legally with non-immigrant visas,† said David Seminara, a tenured member of the U.S. Foreign Service (Illegal Immigration). Usually after the work visas expire, immigrants stay in the United States without anyone knowing. Mexico’s residents on account, have the most illegals in the United States. Racial profiling and discrimination of Mexicans in the United States has developed due to the amount of illegals in the country. Prideful Americans blame Mexicans for the United States’ economic problems. (Kurtzman) Illegal immigration is a growing problem in the United States. Most immigrants come to the United States in order to find work to earn money. â€Å"Roughly 63,000 unaccompanied minors, have crossed illegally into the United States,† said Roque Planas an Editor for Latino Voices (These are). They cross illegally in light of the fact that it is easy to do, and there are many loopholes to get around it. The system is broken and needs to be reformed to prevent any more illegals from crossing the border.
